DAV Public Sr. Sec. School, Kakrala, a Unit of DAV College Trust and Management Society/DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi is running successfully from its inception in January 1994. The annual report showcases the achievements of our school. We have always been committed to provide a platform for development of child’s personality. We set goals to achieve them be it in the area of academics, sports, discipline and more. We are happy to share the details of the performances of our students of classes Nursery to XII . Outstanding performances and good results have made us proud. In class XII, the result was 100% and the students performed very well. Harpreet Singh, Shakshi Goyal & Parneet Kaur got 1st , 2nd & 3rd positions respectively. Jaskaran Singh got 100/100 marks in Painting & Parneet Kaur got 100/100 marks in Economics. Class X students also brought laurels to the school by their good result in examination held in March-2019. 12 students got above 90% marks.. Harpuneet Kaur stood 1st, Vishal got 2nd position and Kashish stood 3rd . The credit goes to the rich faculty of our school for their efforts. Sports, Games and Physical fitness occupy a place of importance. The students of our school participated in DAV National Sports-2018 at Cluster, District, State and National level in various games like Volley Ball, Hand Ball, Kho-Kho, Karate, Boxing, Wrestling, Chess, Athletic, Yoga, Relay Races, High Jump, Short Put, Long Jump etc. We are proud to announce that our students won 32 Gold Medals, 29 Silver Medals & 8 Bronze Medals at State & National level in DAV Sports 2018.
The students of our school also participated in DAV Olympiad in different subjects. To promote the competitive spirit and to bring out the talent of the students they are encouraged every month to participate in various co-curricular activities. Competitions like Calligraphy in English language was conducted in April month. Beside this, World dance day was celebrated to explore the hidden talent of budding Artists. Plantation Drive was also conducted in the same month. Mother’s day was celebrated in May month. Various competitions were organized to celebrate this day like Cards making, Poem recitation. Declamation contest & Collage making competition were conducted to celebrate technology day similarly World Athletic day was also celebrated. August month was also full of activities/ competitions. Math quiz, Dance competition, Rakhi making Competition, Mehndi Competition, Poster making Competition and Energy Conservation were celebrated. National Sports Day was celebrated by showing a documentary film on Dhayan Chand’s life. Speeches were delivered by the students and the teachers. Celebration of Janamashtami by presenting Group Songs, Dance performance, Krishna music under the guidance of Dance & Music teacher. Diwali festival was celebrated by conducting various activities and competitions like Card Making, Rangoli Making, Diya Decoration. Other competitions like Poem Recitation in Punjabi , Mask Making, Dry Fruit week celebration, G.K. Quiz and many more were the part of this session.
The students showed their ideas and Models on Topic given to them in summer vacations in the form of Exhibition. N.C.C. Camp was organized in summer which was attended by the students of our school. Medical Check Camp was organized by the Doctors. Havan is performed in the school and stress on Moral Value education is given so as to inculcate noble ideas, patience, dedication, respect for elders in the students. P.T.M’s are conducted every month to discuss the performance of the students with their parent/guardians. Many of our teachers were sent for In-service Training Programme and Workshops to enhance their teaching skills.
Art and Craft department is no less than other departments. The students showed their talent by participating in different competitions. Viren Dhiman of 1st standard stood 3rd in National Level Painting Competition. Yashan of 7th standard also got 3rd position in the same competition. Besides this, our five students got consolation prizes. Harmanpreet Singh, Gurinderveer Kaur and Priya Sharma got appreciation in Drawing competition organized by CDAC. Lovepreet Singh of class 9th got 2nd position & Gurinder Kaur Bhangu & Gurwinder Singh of 10+2 got 3rd position in painting competition organized by Akhil Bhartiya Anuvarat. Lovepreet Singh got 4th position & Prabal Mahna got 5th position at State Level painting competition organized by Anuvarat Jeevan Vigyan Academy.
The school is making progress by leaps and bounds due to the continuous efforts by the dedicated, experienced staff. They take extra classes and other remedial measures to improve the performance of the students, by using Smart Board technology and innovative methods. The year 2019 was very successful year. Thanks to all the staff members, parents, well wishers who have been supportive throughout the year. Thanks to all LMC members, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Manager and Regional Officer for their able guidance, motivation and encouragement.
